Stella had a perfectly quiet and productive weekend recovering from her Christmas Eve "hiccup". Her team has let her take the lead and decide how slowly she wants to ween off the ventilator. As of tonight we are finally turned down to a rate where she can loose the tube and are on track for a Monday morning extubation!
I cannot wait to have this peanut back in my arms - it's been 10 days since she's been held and absolutely brutal to watch her in pain and know there was nothing I could do to soothe her. Get ready, Stella, Momma isn't going to put you down!
